Letter From the CEO: Back to Basics

In so many ways, 2020 has been marked by change—from the new normal of life during the coronavirus pandemic to the protests and demonstrations in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, it’s been clear that we are not living in a time of business as usual. At Intercare, 2020 has been marked by incredible growth in our community, which is great, especially as we work to increase access to remote care.

Since we’ve gotten such a big influx of new subscribers in recent weeks, we thought we should go back to basics in this month’s newsletter and cover the essence of what we do and how. Each month, we share this newsletter, which includes informative articles about autism research and curated news from our growing and evolving field, as well as updates about our team, with our Intercare community.

In this month’s newsletter, we’re providing resources that get into the basics of autism testing and treatment and the role Intercare plays in that process for the families with whom we work. In one article, we break down everything you need to know about autism testing—a great resource for families at the beginning of their journey in the autism community. And, in another, we cover the basics of Applied Behavior Analysis, which is a cornerstone of the therapy we offer at Intercare.
